Brae’s guest suites were designed by Six Degrees Architects and constructed using recycled materials, solar energy, harvested rainwater and a worm farm waste water system, resulting in a building with zero net emissions.
Each suite accommodates two adults in a king bed with premium Australian-made latex mattress, Ecolinen organic cotton bed linen and an overhead star-gazing skylight. Comfort is paramount with Melbourne-made Jardan sofas, Thorens turntable, vinyl record collection, cocktail bar, Eurocave wine cabinet, underfloor heating, bath and private outdoor areas with views to the rolling hills of The Otways. Each suite features original, custom artworks by Rhys Lee and handcrafted finishes by Cone11 Ceramics and Emma Hayes Textiles.
Guests wake to an in-room house-made breakfast of organic, wood-fired sourdough, pastries, preserves and seasonal produce, served with fresh fruit juice, St Ali coffee, Harney & Sons Teas and Schulz organic milk. An 11am check-out allows time to explore Brae Farm, on walking paths that meander through orchards, olive grove and vegetable beds. Gumboots and umbrellas are supplied for rainy days. An optional evening supper is also available for lunch diners.
Bookings are available for adults only, together with a lunch or dinner reservation on the same date.
